A mate and me are planning to do it for the 1st time at the start of May. Any hotels to avoid?

Avoid any of the ones described as something A Bespoke Hotel..they are shite..most stuff in Gairloch is crappy..personally I use booking.com and only select places with a score of 8.5 or higher if I can..as you will find price and availablity will determine your options..

Whats the weather like at that time of year ? Surely it wont be top down weather ? I would have assumed rain at least ?

Climb up to Applecross in atrocious weather…

This was indeed an excellent trip . Karen and I were both a bit nervous beforehand as we had never done a group trip before but Peter had it so well organised that we soon settled in and the rest of the group were really good company and a great laugh . Keith`s knowledge of the area kept us updated on mountain names etc and also lead the pack on some fast bits  Thoroughly enjoyed it and we wouldn`t think twice about going on another especially with the same group of people :)

This looked amazing. I really want to do this (on my motorcycle really) but also looks a good bet in the Zed as well. maybe in a couple of years as i have a couple of trips i am hoping to do on the bike.
