Tempting at that price. Hope she's got the history to match the looks
 
That's #169, it's been up for sale since July - looks reasonable from the photos although a bit of decent TLC is needed to tidy up some of the obvious bits (new ALPINA badge, roof needs treating, drivers seat bolster etc.) and why they left the security bolt remover on top of the handbrake for the photos is anyone's guess...

Started off as a private sale on PH in July, where they were asking £13,250, obviously didn't get that and I noticed that it popped up at The Muir Garage a few weeks back at a more realistic, given the work that needs doing, £12k (before negotiation :wink:)
 
That's a lovely car. Normally I'd agree with Stu about the de-gingering, but black is one colour that really doesn't carry the amber well anymore, so I'd consider it to have been improved :thumbsup:

Just working from the photos - unless I've been able to see a car in the flesh, I always mention that my impressions are taken from the photos and I'm on the south coast so Scotland is a bit of a trek :lol:

IIRC there was a bit more detail on the original PH advert and the different photos showed other things that might need doing. I think there was the start of some galvanic corrosion around the base of at least one valve so I'd think a wheel refurb along with the new-style valves might well be on the cards

Anyone on here who's interested is going to go along and take a proper look anyway and, if they do, I'm happy to give them a list of Alpina-specific things to pay close attention to over and above the normal E85 bits

AB-SOL-UTELY. I was tempted and am so glad I took the opportunity to own a very special car :driving: :)
