Hi,

I have just had my hood totally out for repair(successfully), But some of the laquer has peeled of on the top of the O/S rear quarter right by the hood weather seal
I am, going to have the whole O/R rear quarter panel resprayed but the bodyshop have asked if I can find out how to remove the fuel filler pipe and the rubber insert so that they can get inside the filler cap and spray it properly.

I have done a search but nothing was available.
Is there a "How to" on here?, if not can somebody point me the right direction pls

Thanks
Neil

Hi Neil,

As far as I can remember, there is a small TX star (Maybe a pozi) screw that locates the black plastic assembley, remove this (From inside the filler cap) and then it's a case of twisting the black plastic, including the cap and hinge to disengage it from it's locators and pulling it out.

I removed mine some time ago (Hence the vague instructions) - But I do remember that it's straight forward once the screws are removed.

Stu.
