fuel filler flap

hey folks
can anyone point me in the right direction in regard to removing the fuel filler flap due to a "cachang" type noise and now my filler flap is all floppy.
Obviously a spring or hinge mechanism needs replacing.,,,but how does it come out with out scrathing paint etc..
 
Looks too tough for the techs here, and I am not sure that I am going to assist much.
I have had a look at mine - but nothing obvious.
Take a look at http://www.realoem.com - doesn't look like an easy "spring change"

Problem is it isnt sometihng that has happened to anybody else, best be is get yourself a copy of TIS from fleabay as this will have step by step instructions
