Fuel filler cap part

So went to fill up yesterday, took the fuel cap off and it dropped to the floor. The cable it is attached to came off and I couldn't find the plug that holds the cable to the cap. :x

Any ideas what I can do to reattach it like before.

The "cap falling off" feature was standard for a while on early cars.

Might have to go have a word with the dealer for the rubber plug thing.

You buy a whole new cap and it comes with the rubber, about a tenner from a dealer... I changed mine as the rubber bit was starting to crack and well... i'm a bit fussy hehe
