For sale is my 98' R plate BMW M3 Evolution Coupe which I have owned since June 2006. It's a 3.2 straight six, petrol, 6 speed manual and in my opinion the best colour combination of Estoril blue with full black Vadar leather interior. It has full service history as follows:

09/04/1998 - Running-in Service at BMW Brighton 1,387 miles
06/01/1999 - BMW Brighton 14,246 miles
03/12/1999 - BMW Brighton 29,442 miles
06/10/2000 - BMW Manchester 37,442 miles
22/01/2003 - BMW Howarth of Rochdale 46,005 miles
05/02/2004 - BMW Wheatley Hall 53,706 miles
27/07/2005 - BMW Wheatley Hall 61,161 miles
22/11/2006 - M-tek BMW Specialist 68,728 miles
27/06/2007 - BMW Wollaston Motors 76,125 miles
18/01/2008 - CR Motors 83,571 miles
18/03/2009 - CR Motors 87,166 miles
18/01/2010 - CR Motors 89,241 miles
10/08/2011 - CR Motors 92,869 miles

In the time I have owned the car I have cherished her and washed (2BM) and detailed her pretty much every weekend with premium products (Zaino, dodo etc I have a garage full of them). I have only ever used Shell V Power and as such have a V Power club card (have to be invited when they see you only use V Power on standard drivers card). I only use the best and correct oil as recommended by opieoils.com which is Silkolene Pro S 5W-40 (now Titan Race). I have serviced the car each year even though it may have had 3 or 4 green lights left on the service indicator. I never go above 3k revs until the oil is up to temperature. Here is some of the more recent work I have had done (documents & receipts to prove):

New Aircon Condensor unit so the air con is fully operational
Rubber seals were replaced on the rear quaterlight windows
Cooling system waterpump.
New Vanos unit fitted by mrvanos.com with uprated bolts and seals.
Pristine Original sunflower alloys refurbished, waxed and sealed, with Eagle F1 Asymetrics all round (winner of best tyre Evo magazine)
Whole of underbody undersealed
Brake pipes replaced, bushes replaced, shock mounts, water pump, breather valve and 3 pipes under inlet manifold, rocker cover gaskets and seals, anti roll bar link, brake calliper, window regulator & motor, replaced all seals on rear diff

Comes with tool kit, warning triangle, rechargeable torch, first aid kit, spare wheel (never used) Original BMW alarm and immobiliser, BMW head unit, full 18 button on board computer (all lights working). Current mileage is 93k and comes with 12 months MOT until 18th Dec 2012 (so technically 13 months). All 5 green lights on. As you can probably tell I am passionate about this car and have done pretty much all I can to keep her in great condition. £5,495.00 ono, located Northants / MK 07071687252

Lovely to see a car equipped with my fav combination of sunflower alloys and no rear spoiler. If I could sell my Z4MC, I'd be all over this.

Really sick! My favourite of all BMW colours, and most at home on the E36 no other model really does it justice! Do you not fancy keeping the M3 and running a Z4 too? I would be pushed to get rid of it, especially at that price! The devil would be whispering in my ear to keep it

I do love the car and it's very hard to beat in terms of price and performance hence why I've kept it so long. But I've managed to convince myself I need a change or I'll end up keeping it forever. I don't really need a car for commuting so I can't really justify having two and a nice z4 coupe is a scratch I think I need to itch right now :)

Are you going for the ///M coupe then?

I'm leaning towards the 3.0 coupe at the moment as they seem to be really good value and quick enough.

Good choice sir.. You will get 90% of the experience but will cost you nearly 50% of the ///M running costs.. No doubt the ///M is a better car on a track but I think you will find the 3.0Si alot easier to drive around town and the the performance will be almost equal to the ///M in 90% of the driving.

My mate has a Z4M and he cant shake me off around town.. There's nothing in them. Only notice a difference above 80MPH on the motorway and lets be honest how many of us drive much faster than that anyway.

Oh and your M3 Evo is stunning. A credit to you.

Shame you can't afford to keep it and buy a Zed too

Thanks for your comments on the M3 :) ... That red Z4M does look rather tasty though, maybe you should consider that and I buy yours

good luck with the sale

I am amazed that a company like BMW spent all that development money on the M version only to find such a small performance gain over a standard 3.0.

I traded a 3.0, 231 BHP for my Z4M. I thought there was a big difference. The whole driving experience was on another level. I agree the running costs are higher, cars developed by BMW M division don't come cheap

My wife drives our Z4M all week (2 miles each way to work) and has never complained about it being hard to drive around town. To be honest a Focus 1.6 would keep up with me around town with a 30 MPH limit!

Z4M models have never been better value than now. Any extra running costs are easily covered by the cheaper purchase prices.
