FS: Headlights

i have a set of headlights from my 2003 3.0i. They are halogens in good working condition with no broken tabs. Bulbs are included  These would be a great set if you want to do custom angel eyes! (i.e. c10jeeper)

The driver's side headlight has these 2 small spots on the lens. Not sure what they are but it feels somewhat rough. Pics below show closeups.

As far as pricing, on the US forums, I am asking for $250 shipped $200 picked up. Now since the majority of you guys are in the UK, if you're interested I can get a better quote on shipping (going off the original $200).

PM me here or you can reach me through e-mail at [email protected] thanks!

Hi
I'm very interested in your headlights, but was only really in need of a left hand side unit.
Could you give me a price shipped to the UK please? (I'm due to be in Florida soon so this may be another option depending on shipping).
Also, what has caused the frosting/crazing to the lenses?
Many thanks
Dean

Hi guys, sorry to disappoint, but if these are US LHD lights you won't be able to use them in the UK.

nickpapa, have you considered trying to get the blemish out of the RHS light? If you have a look at the link below you'll see what I did with mine...

PawnSacrifice is spot on. To be more specific thee are 2 issues the beam is adjusted to LHD and does not incoporate the appropriate shielding to adjust to UK assymetric beam pattern and secondly the majority of US are wired differently with for instance DRL's.

They would be useable in the UK only as shells from which to salvage either the lens or carcase. Of course if they were clear indicator I could put forward a good commercial case to rebuild the internals

Thanks guys,

I'm new to Z4's so no doubt it will be one of many mistakes i make. I assumed that as you can adjust our lights to drive on the continent, you could do the same with US lights

No problem, it's a fairly quick learning curve - all new to me 10 months ago. Just so you know, you can't use European lights either - check with the seller if you see any on eBay.

Are you just replacing a damaged one or plotting some sort of upgrade? Don't be put off by slight damage... broken lugs aren't too hard to be welded back on, as I discovered, and scratches can be removed.

OP, sorry for digressing, good luck with the sale, looks like a very good price

thanks PawnSacrifice, i did check out the link and actually have used the sanding technique on other cars before. i had used the kit that 3M sells and had great results  i didn't try the 3M kit on the headlight because a buddy of mine works in the parts dept. at the dealer and i got a killer deal on new headlights that i just couldnt pass up.

you guys are correct on the lighting with UK and US cars. that was one of the reasons why I mentioned that it would be good for angel eye conversions since you'd need a second set of headlights to use. and you could use only the parts that are necessary.

Please tell me they're still up for grabs...i have a cracked mount on one of mine and it is such a hassle to get US dealers to ship to Germany...if they are...you can mail them ground to my APO...its the same as stateside shipping...let me know...thanks X)
