Hi,

A problem of too many cars and limited garage space means my pristine baby has to go.

Sorry to point out but only fair to other forum members. Your car according to declared history, missed an oil change in Autumn 2008 which seems odd as the brake fluid was carried out correctly. Not sure how that stands with BMW warranty.

It is a BMW Approved Used Car when I bought it 7 months ago.
IF BMW (not just the dealer) is happy to stand by it, that's much better than any recommendation I can get from any forum.

Sorry to point out but AUC means nothing.

really? ok you win. It is completely useless.......

not worth the paper it is written on. Thanks for the advice.

What he means is that AUC cars can still come with faults, like wrong servicing and even non approved parts (brakes / wheels etc). So when something goes really wrong and a regional rep comes around, they might still disallow a repair even though a dealer sold it with AUC.

Unfortunately, you might believe the sales people you may deal with but that does not mean they are right and it does not mean that you are covered by warranty as it is often not the dealer, but BMW GB that needs to provide approval for repairs.

Shame it's got a missed oil change as otherwise that's a cracking car. For that reason, I'm out. Nothing to do with not having money, etc...

And FWIW AUC means sods all to me too. But then I've got zero faith in garages regardless of marque.
