frozen lake with ford puma and quad

Had a day off today so we thought we would go out and play on the frozen lake just up the road from our place , the ice was 6" thick and have a look at this soooooo much fun :driving:

Agree - looks like a lot of fun! :D My neighbours went curling on a frozen loch at the weekend. I told them they were mad!
 
Jesus! That's pretty stupid... not quite sure how they were planning on getting off the canal either.

I do like the way the Sun uses the trusted arrow to illustrate what's going on, in case there is any confusion!
 
we drilld the ice and it was 10" thick today and the lake is only about 18" deep we where on it all weekend its been below -7 up here for weeks great fun, if it went through it would only be up to the door handel I have a Jcb telehandeler to pull it out if that hapend we can't get it on there now as the snow is about 10"thick

My Ford Puma was a nightmare..... I would have cheerfully dropped it through a frozen lake

but tbh, I never doubted your intelligence in checking these things before doing it.. it's just I was reading that article, and then saw this and had to laugh :D
