My MOT chap, very thorough, picked up a small amount of noise from left hand front wheel bearing at 70k miles.

In some ways hardly surprising given the number of potholes this car has gone into, especially the big one this year that bent front and back alloys.

BMW OE price around £500.

Getting my local garage to fit them today..

Yes, that would probably do the bearing no favours!

I had some play in one bearing, wheel rocked very slightly, so replaced, made no difference.
Later replaced the front shocks and discovered the upper bearing for the shock was worn.
Inexpensive to replace whilst shock is off.
Think this can be missed.
