Front Suspension Springs Question

Does anyone know if the front suspension springs from a 3.0 lt and the front springs from an m-tech suspension on a 2.5 lt be the same? Basically are the two compatable? :?

The difference in the weight of the engines is negligible, so I would think they are the same.

Cant say for sure... You could check realoem, but eibach's are the same, so i dont see why they are not interchangeable.

Provided they are either both manual or both automatic. It's all to do with with the weight of the vehicle.

Transmission weights won't make much of a difference in overall vehicle weight either.

Just comparing the part numbers listed in the 'Suplex' catalogue. All automatics have the same front spring part number across the different engine sizes which is different to the part number required for manual transmission.

Not necessarily.

It can be down to the suspension spec. So a std spec may be softer than a sport spec. The question related to comparing a 3.0 to a 2.5 M-Tech so potentially different. Easiest check is to look at the paint colours on the springs to see if they are the same.

I am aware of all that having had the wrong rear springs fitted to my Z4.

Regarding mark a reply, could you please explain what or which paint colour to compare. Could you explain what to look for. :?
