Hello,
My new (to us) E89 was delivered yesterday on a trailer. Due to lockdown it is the first time I've actually seen it in the flesh (mad I know).
I got a video walkround and a couple of slight issues were shown by the stealer, so I knew they were there.
The front right underside of the front splitter/bumper has a bit of damage where it looks like someone has scraped it on a high kerb. It has grazed the underside and where it was then reversed off the kerb has slightly cracked the front lower piece.
My question is regarding filler. Can normal bodywork filler be used on plastic, or is there such a thing as plastic filler?
If I can sand the scrape back and put a thin layer of filler on, I have found matched specific paint for the bumper (Alpine white) and then lacquer it.
The damage is too small to warrant a bodyshop.
Any help gratefully received.
