Front roof catches?

Tried a search but just kept finding threads about the rear centre latch. Ever since I swapped out my roof motor my roof sticks now and then. On the passenger side front latch. And only frees up with a quick tap on the roof. It looks like a slight adjustment of the catch (body one above windscreen) will help it. Does anyone know if these can be adjusted at all and how?

Not sure if you can adjust them, but the black plastic 'rollers' that the latches on the roof roll under when it latches should soon freely. I know that a few on here have had your problem and lubricating the rollers has solved the stickiness. Hopefully one of them will be along soon to tell you what they lubricated them with

Not done it, but from working on hardtops I don't think there is any adjustment at the catch or screen points.

I'm pretty sure you'd have to adjust the roof location with shims when you fitted it.

I would however try some grease on the screen latch and light oil on the lock mechanism (not WD40)

Same thing happened to mine, I greased them up and now the roof released without an issue. On my first zed one of these failed, however this is not the same symptoms as you have,

Was it the rollers you greased up?

I did all parts just to be on the safe side, including the catches and their hinges. It's been fine ever since.

I think I have the same problem. What kind of grease do you guys use to lube these latches and rollers.

I cleaned off the existing grease using WD40 and then used a general purpose automotive grease on all the parts. If I remember correctly, the one I have is zinc based.
