Hi
I will paint Z4 brake calibers this weekend. It will be easy to paint those parts in the table.
Is there something special i have to know when i remove 4 calibers?
Do Z4 have something special when i reconnect all and start bleeding brakes?

What do you recommend for clamping brake lines when i take calibers off?

Really straight forward. I could try and avoid disconnecting the brake lines if at all possible. - Use cable ties and thick metal wire to make hangers to hold the calipers in position while you paint them.

The caliper carriers will come completely off no problem.

If you do however take the brake lines off, Ensure that nobody presses the pedal down once the lines are disconnected as it will draw air in when the pedal returns back to the top.
This will make re-bleeding the brakes a potential nightmare.

Either way, if you disconnect the lines, The brake fluid will need to be re-bled.

Hi Anttio most auto spare shops will sell pipe clamps they are quite cheap less than a tenner even for four. you can also use mole grips. Callipers are easier to work on when removed from car and no problems with over spay. Cheers Baz
