Hi All,

I've noticed i have a large quantity of moisture / water droplets in my front foglights. Has something failed, or is it just a design flaw?

I take it its easy to fix - i havent had chance to have a look yet :/

Lots of topics on this if you use the search function.

In a nutshell, common problem on face lift models, c**p design, poor construction, not fit for purpose and should have warranted a recall. Original fogs made in Mexico, replacements made in Germany.

Not easy to fix, silvering will be corroded. Someone has done a refurbishment but requires a lot of elbow grease and time.

Someone recently drilled holes into their lights and dried them out then did a proper reseal. Tbh, until they stop working I cba to fix it. Not sure how long they'll continue to work for for, but its been 6 years and they're still going strong, so I'm happy to give it a little longer to fail. Plus I havent had to really use my fogs yet, so not a massive loss. People will still hear me coming if they don't see me :driving:

Here's my set of rusty fog lights - look at the peeling silver and the deteriorated seal.
