Front Bumper Side Support Brackets

I need to order a pair of support brackets for the front bumper on my E85. As the bumper has become unattached on both sides. I believe it's because my front wheels are rubbing slightly due to running an aggressive wheel offset of ET 22 and Eibach lowering springs

Are there any options other than the OEM BMW items that are worth considering?

Part numbers for reference are: 51117165179 & 51117165180

I have ordered two from aliexpress, but didn't have time to try them yet. They look similiar to the OEM ones. Maybe someone else has actually fitted them.

The OEM ones are designed to snap in the event of an impact to protect the main structure of the car from damage. It'd be interesting to see if the Chinese ones are made the same way. Don't really want them to be too strong.

It's not usually a concern that the Chinese versions will be too strong, but I guess that could be a concern.

The main reason I'm asking is that I'm worried that with the wheels and springs I'm running, the OEM ones may break again quite quickly. So didn't want to spend £80+, when I can get Chinese one for £25.

I’d be surprised if your “rubbing” is causing the brackets to pop, as there is a big air gap between the arch liner and the wing. If the bumper has been off and on a few times, they’re probably broken, or the bumper just hasn’t been properly clipped in.
