I know there have been numerous posts about front bumper panel gaps over the years. I've got what seems like a bit of a unique issue.
I noticed a while back that my front bumper gap was fairly big so tried all the usual things. It's currently as far back as I can push it after loosening the 7 top M6 screws. The issue I've got is it seems to be sitting very low. The wings and bonnet are well aligned but the bumper just seems to be a few mm lower which is causing alot of liquid to get in through there and pool.
The only thing I can work out is that it may have either had a collision which has distorted the front frame, or the bumper has been incorrectly installed when I had it resprayed a couple of years back.
It's really hard to get on photo but I think the horizontal alignment is fine, just the vertical is off a bit. You can see from the photos there appears to be a bit of twisting. When the light is on the front you can see into the bay which tells me the gap is too big.
Any advice would be much appreciated, it's just really bugging me! Current idea is that I might get some nylon washers to bring the whole thing up a bit.
