front bumper dislodged?

Hi,

This morning I noticed my front bumper on the drivers side looked a little out of kilter. Also the reflector looks like it took a ding. No idea what happened but I think it was recently. I thought maybe a carpark prang, but there doesn't look like any paint damage (thankfully)

Anyone know if the bumper should click back into place or is it possible its bent/broken a fixing?

Hi i think it just clips in , give it a push on the top edge of bumper just under the wing ( where bumper meets wing)

I have exactly the same coupe and exactly the same problem except it came from the dealer like that. When I took it back they pointed to a minuscule scratch and blamed it on impact damage i.e. Me. They said mountings likely bent and would cost £100 to take the bumper off and put it back on again before sorting any problems they found. I.e. Just go away sir were not interested. Wud be interested to know how u get on.

I have exactly same prob on passenger side, when I push it back into place it just doesnt want to stay there.
It doesnt flop about but just doesnt look right.

There is a plastic connecting bracket that holds it in place it's probably broken, £35 replacement from BMW parts. They are designed to snap on impact to minimise damage I think.

this happened to me. i think it started when i scraped the bottom of the bumper somewhere. check the bottom for scrapes. i would be able to clip mine back but it would get dislodged again so i ended up bolting it in place. never moved again after that.

my front bumper looks like that... except the black bit is on the top of the bumper... thought it was meant to be like that... as bmw had my bumper off to fix my headlight washers last year.

and now I can't get my bonnet open :headbang: release in the car works, just the second catch under the bonnet won't move. Doesn't seem to have any travel, like its already fully depressed.

thing only came back from a service/MOT a couple of months ago :(
