Front brake upgrade to 325mm a la 3,0Si

Are the components from a BMW E46 330d (calipers-caliper carrier and discs) the same as a 330i i.e. a plug & play upgrade for the front brakes on my 3,0i SE?

I discovered that they are and have done the upgrade with no problems.

Noticeable difference? Have you done anything to your rears?

The difference is there but not a startling one to be honest. Rears are new plain, vented Brembo rotors with new red Brembo pads using the OEM calipers & carriers and are fine / more than adequate.
I guess that the setup is now more or less the same as a 3.0 Si would be.
