Front Brake Upgrade - Anyone tried these remanufactured?

I have a sticking front calliper with some heavy corrosion on the pot, I've been considering an upgrade to the brakes anyway and have decided whether to replace front callipers, discs and pads with either pagid (new/recon from ECP) or upgrade to 330i 325mm on 57x25mm callipers.

I noticed this set which seems a little too good to be true, anyone tried or have any experience with "Brakes International" or "Budweg" Calipers?

I'm currently on 225/45 R17 and will need to get the carriers for the 330i callipers, but am considering it. A used set is ~£150 all in and i would have to overhaul them myself.
 
Good price for a bolt on upgrade kit, providing the quality is there. On the pics, it clearly shows BMW and Ate cast into the calipers, which would make me think they are reconditioned, which I would prefer over a "no name" TBH BUT - The discs also say "Brembo" on them, and the caliper pics are both of the same side caliper, but flipped..

IF they are reman OEM with Brembo discs, I'd go for it, but would confirm the disc make beforehand.

BUT, remember you will still need the mounting brackets if upgrading to the 325mm discs, as they are different, and 325mm calipers won't fit onto the 295mm caliper brackets.

I gave £50 for my 325mm calipers & brackets, replaced the seals myself and put M-Tec slotted & dimpled discs on with Brembo pads, total cost was £160 odd. The bigger brakes will fit fine with your wheels, and it makes a BIG difference to the braking.

I think the problem will be sourcing the brackets on their own, unless the donor car has already had the calipers removed/sold..

I've sourced a pair of 330D calipers and carriers for £75, depending on the quality of the caliper I will either overhaul them or trade in and get remanufactured calipers.

The calipers are 57/25, but I noticed that the discs for the 330 are 325mm x 25mm with the following dimensions

The original 2.0i discs are 286mm x 22mm as a shallower overall depth, im assuming this is due to the extra disc thickness at the back face?

If anyone else has upgraded to the 330i/d calipers, im guessing you buy 330i/d pads and wear sensors also? or does the z4 (325mm disc) sensor fit?
 
Well, i bought them, sourced some 330D brackets and painted them up. Its a tight fit in the 17" with about 3mm clearance between calliper and the wheel balancing weights....

When the weight come around they take up about half that clearance...

Nice to hear you managed to find the carriers and the installation it went well - and that you have enough clearance. The painted callipers are a nice touch (I'm thinking of painting mine blue... or yellow)
 
Halfords HighTemperature Engine Paint. Went on nice, I would have liked to spend more time smoothing off the calliper surface and putting down more coats (about 2 coats on there) and finishing with a high temp clearcoat, but I was struggling to get the things dry in time (had to convert the spare room into an oven ;) ). Maybe next time I'll just outsource :p
