Front anti roll bar reinforcement

Has anyone on here done the front anti roll bar mount reinforcement, I’ve recently put my car back together after suspension overhaul and have read that these are a weak point if running thicker arbs or softer spring rates and I think they are already starting to mushroom

My car back on its wheels and out the garage after 8 months

Yes, the front anti-roll bar mount can be a weak spot with thicker ARBs or softer springs. Reinforcing it is a good move if you’re seeing signs of mushrooming. Congrats on getting your car back on its wheels!

I think exdos put some small plates on his. Was many years ago but should be findable in the search.

On another note, the wheels look great, they really suit the car 8)

Thanks, I’ll have a look in the search section.

Re the wheels the offset is perfect without spacers for the car and I managed to get them from bmw in silver rather than gun metal grey

Yep its a must do mod for all z4's. very very easy.

like these for the e46, just make some yourself. easy peasy.

Machined some out of some 4 or 5mm ally plate and bonded to the chassis with structural adhesive, many years of hard driving and track, no issues
