Morning all,

Back on the hunt for an E86 (possibly E85 - by only facelift Si)

My preference is for an E86,

Colour - Stratus Grey (Possibly silver grey), Ruby or Carbon Black (Not Saphire Black), or any Blue. I quite like Helrot, but i’m not prepared to pay a big premium for a red car (so that’s probably out).

I realise these are relatively ‘old’ cars now, but some are genuinely close to mint and cosseted & some are sheds - I’m looking for the former, with no obvious signs of bodywork repairs. Although I appreciate most will have had the front bumper repainted at some point for stone chips.

Interior - must have MSport seats, preferably in something other than black or red leather (but the colour isn’t a deal breaker). I’d prefer a multifunction steering wheel and heated seats, but again not vital. Not fussed at all about satnav, but Bluetooth for hands free would be a bonus.

Must have as complete a service history as possible.

My very strong preference is for a manual, but would consider an exceptional auto.

Although my strong preference is for a coupe, I’d also consider an Si Manual E85... but it would need to be a cracker! (I do want a ‘facelift’ car)

In terms of budget, it really depends on the car. Having said that, I am motivated to buy and I’m on two weeks holiday so have time, particularly from next Monday, to travel and view.

In terms of pricing, I’ve been scouring EBay, autotrader and gumtree for a while and very little is moving. I know that we all hope E85/E86 will become ‘classics’ and I see numerous adverts claiming ‘prices are only going one way’ and ‘future classic’ (not on this forum, but on Autotrader etc) It’s not just Z4’s that are hanging about, I’ve been looking at a few options and the market is stagnant for 2 seaters.

My maximum budget for an exceptional E86 would be £8k, but a fair bit less for an E85.

Please feel free to PM or email me.

Hi, I’m not a big fan of the ‘’black’’ black, if that makes sense ? Only the Ruby & Carbon (blue) ones.

My preference is for an E86, and my colour choice would be Stratus Grey, Ruby or Carbon Black, or Monaco / Montego blue. I quite like Helrot, but i’m not prepared to pay a big premium for a red car (so that’s probably out).

Hi I’ve sent you a pm

Add 'Midnight Blue' to your list of colours, very similar to Monaco Blue, but the colour pops a bit more, I think. I used to have a Midnight Blue E85 and I loved the colour.

Thanks for the input on ‘the Blues’

I’ve amended the listing to hope fully make it a bit more obvious and easy to read!

With your Forum name surely it has to be a Blue car really?

Good luck with your search anyway.

Do me a favour then, have a word with Super-Frank and tell him to sell Zouma to us #FreeZouma

🤣🤣🤣

I’ve looked at 8 Z4 coupe’s since posting this advert, and I’ve now chosen one, Collecting it tomorrow.

Montego Blue, with Full BMW main dealer service history.

Inside is Spotless, outside has a few car park dings... so first job will be dentmaster, then I’ll work over the original paintwork a panel at a time with my Das6 Pro to bring it back to it’s full glory.

....one more sleep

Think I know the car: swapped a few emails with the owner who works with a friend of mine. A great choice: congratulations 👍🏻

Cheers,

The owner is a woman who has had it since 2013 and maintained at BMW regardless of cost.

It’s got loads of kit, ....including two fully functional cup holders  8)
