Found a virus cure

Become a jogger and immediately gain immunity!
What a bunch of tossers!
Got up at 6am and we both took the dog for a 4 mile walk, mostly across fields and footpaths. Didn't see a soul and felt perfectly safe.
Then the last quarter mile up the road to our house.
Three separate dog walkers crossed the road, or we did, to easily maintain separation.
Then suddenly from behind us a middle aged couple jogged past, literally brushing our arms in their determination not to be put off their stride. We hadn't even heard them coming due to the strong wind in our faces.
Whilst still muttering about their stupidity, a lone jogger, male, around late 20s I'd guess came towards us, coughing and spitting down the road. We kept to the side of the pavement and he ran straight towards us.
As he passed I put my hand out to show he was less than that distance away. Twat thought I wanted to high 5 him. Just removed my hand in time. When I questioned his idea of distance he replied that it was my fault I as making him run in the road.

So I can only draw the conclusion that being a jogger gives you complete protection from the virus.

What it does not give them is protection from the taser I'm taking with me next time out!

Rant over.

I saw a couple in Edinburgh out jogging recently wearing matching t-shirts emblazoned with "VEGAN RUNNERS"

Had a good chuckle to myself. What a pair of absolute wanks

I've never heard so many people use the footpath down the side of my property  it's ridiculous. People just hate being told what they can and can't do.

The stupid thing is the footpath is only about 6ft wide anyway, so if someone was to come from the other side, there's no physical way you could keep 2 metres apart :headbang:

Everyone I’ve met jogging have been very polite - it’s the dog walkers with their pooches off the lead that cause me the most issues :poke: :fuelfire:

I always thought jogging was just an excuse for posers to show off their expensive gear and overpriced trainers. :D

Now now everyone live & let live. Jogger, dog walker, cyclist we all have to together through this.
Take a chill pill :D

It's the together part that is the problem. People need to realise that the 'enemy' is the person standing next to you. :(

Thanks goodness we can chat politely online. :)

Yep had this a few times, they make no attempt to get out of the way , huffing and puffing as they barge past..absolute dippy melts :x :x

OK, so now I've calmed down a little :D

I agree I was generalising, and dog walkers can be just as bad.
Our dog was only let off the lead out in the fields where we could see for miles.
I even asked wifey to reel in the extending lead when a dog came the other way. It too was on a lead. My concern being, if they got in a scrap the owners would end up nose to nose trying to separate them.
So yes, every group has its idiots. Just in this case the only fools were joggers. The road was empty, there's a pavement the other side that had no-one on it, and we were clearly visible for at least 100 yds in each direction.

Strangely when I'm out with the dog runners always keep well away from me

Nice looking pooch. Not knowing him, I'd give him a little distance myself
Oddly people are drawn to my dog and he does not like anyone but the wife and I.

During this period you are really finding out a lot about people.
I was washing the car earlier and lost count the amount of people who passed by. Theres normally one or two but today over the 2 or 3 hours I was outside there must have been at least 50 with the majority of them people I have never seen before.
In my opinion the only ones who should be out are dog walkers. Joggers, cyclists, families out for a walk should be slapped and sent home.
Ignorant selfish people

Assuming they are out getting exercise... same as you. Is washing a car really essential activity?

please be mindful about this virus!
i am having to go to work on a daily basis as a lot of people not just the NHS which are all playing our part
in keeping the country going!
this is not a air born virus so as long as you was your hands and be carefull of what you are touching don't cough
over anybody stay away from anybody that may be vulnerable you are doing your best
if you see people out dont just assume they are being wrong !
we all want our freedom back at the end of the day and as long as people are doing there best just be curtious!
be safe all

I have a loud enough voice to be perfectly courteous from 2 metres away thank you very much.
If they choose to be closer than they will clearly hear that I am NOT being so courteous.

Oh, and I consider the current information that once coughed out, the virus can exist in still air for some time, to make it airborne enough for me thank you very much

were all doomed thenllll :headbang:

I assume your information differs from mine?

I shall continue to be sensible AND maintain a 2 metre distance.
See you on the other side.............if we're spared.
