Had a lovely day out with cherrym aka Mike around the Northern Pennines today..a 200 mile potter on some lovely, new to me, roads. :driving:

Big thanks to Mike for showing me some of his backyard roads

Visited 'Durham Dave' although mostly his son to discuss replacing my HPFP/Injectors to cure the misfire.

Seemed very knowledgeable about the newer engines of the N20 type.

So booked in two weeks time to get the updates done.

Just returned from doing most of that route today with the wife. Even included a 4 mile walk around the reservoir to work up a thirst.

Nice drive as long as you avoid some serious potholes :o

By Dumfries and Galloway standards it was billiard smooth tarmac..

Did find one unavoidable bad one on one of the narrow roads with an oncoming car..glad I no longer have 326Ms... :tumbleweed:

Looks a stunning part of the world-

Dave and his son come highly recommended and knowledgable!

A very modest affair business premises wise..I assume that reflects in their pricing..Dave's son is a bright bunny..professing not to know much about N20 engines..felt at times like a Mastermind shoot out!

Nice one Maurice, Peters rear may be a different colour to your motors but although I enjoyed the drive very much I couldnt keep up with neither of your posteriors

Hi Peter. It's a pity you didn't drop down to Middleton in Teesdale and then do the 22 miles up the B6277 to Alston. If you catch this road when it's fairly quiet or empty it is just sublime :driving: Has to be one of the best 'fast' roads in the country  Screenshot_20210610-121745_Maps.jpg

Hi Simon..yes that's a good one..I've done it a few times..I was interested in the more off piste runs that Mike as a local was au fait with..

I think we plan to do a few more runs to flush put more interesting roads :driving:
