Forum T-Shirts: Discussion

I was obviously on a very similar wavelength to you inkey$:

(the design minus the shirt)

The problem with names on the front is you end up having massive design limitations and increased overheads at creating the designs.

For example, with the image you've done above, try and insert the following usernames in to the gap and produce as design
that is the same for all, without noticeable differences, or sizing issues, quickly:

Sk93
Sp3ctr3
SideShowBob
OakandAcorns
AlanJ

Wheras, if you have it across the back, you can keep the font sizes, spacing and overall logo design exactly the same without a problem :)

Plus - if we're talking about adding forum and real names - you'll need a lot of space

can the forum username be in a smaller size to the right just underneath the main web address on the front ?

interesting idea.. let me see how it pans out with my designs...

edit: something like this?

Not sure :|

Sorry to be a lone voice of dissent, but I still hate the chavvy 20" wheeled Z4 cariacature at the top of the forum. I'd like a t-shirt, but would rather one of the more sober designs a-la inkey$.

not bad, but might look better even smaller ?

right then lol.. time for a bit of organisation! As it were my idea like, I'll play team leader!

The problems we have are:
● Some people want one design type, others want another
● Some people want a t-shirt, some would prefer a rain jacket
● No clear "brand" to work against (just the font and the cartoon E89)
● Some prefer variety in designs to break up monotony at meets.

Solutions to that are:
● Define the "brand"
● Create four distinct designs
● Ensure all designs will work on a variety of products (T Shirt, Hoodie and Raincoat)

Going forward (and sorry, but I stole your picture Inkey$ :P) we have three design ideas so far:

(the colour of the shirt isn't set btw.. I just chose the same colour for all designs to give a similar example!)

I'm pretty much set on having the names on the back, so they're going on the back :telloff:
So, we just need one more design (and the official font :P)
If someone wants to have a go at that, that'd be cool..
Once we have the last one, I'll put together the "product range" and start a thread for orders :D

+1 for that idea - looks good. (Except the car is still grey - but you get to chose I guess)
p.s. I have the correct font details (Spe3tre forwarded them for my stickers) and I'll pm them to you.

I can see a vote going on here :) I like the black and white design (3rd one) , it would also work well on a whole range of coloured Tee shirts.

No need for a vote lol - was planning on having all approved designs available for us to choose from?

Need to clear a few things up first, and until that's taken care of, we cant move further forward..
so we're holding fire for a wee bit on this front :)

I like the 3rd design. Ok so it might be a bit geeky but who cares! We know we're cool!
Can I throw another spanner in the works and have a black vest instead of a tshirt? I don't do tshirts. A ladies black vest in a size small would suit me fine though if they have them :)

i prefere the car front ones.. number 3 style,

i just think the other ones are a bit too close to something the local chavvy goth yooofs would wear.

(runs for cover)

OK - after quite a bit of time sorting out any "legal wrangles" with the designs etc...

You can place your orders here:
