I know this is a car forum, but this is the Lounge section and I know there's a good few MTBers on the site that might appreciate this. Hell, hopefully some of you will appreciate the photos anyway as I'm quite happy with some of them :)

This was the 2nd round of the UCI World Cup, held at the Nevis Range, Fort William. It's the mountain-biking equivalent to F1 in that the best riders in the world compete in a series of races across the world. The Fort William course/venue is held in such high regard that it's the ONLY venue to have held a race every year for the past decade (usually they change venues each year). I've been to 6/7 of these over the past decade and can't wait til next year!

Thanks :)

And if you skip forward to 81:00 in THIS VIDEO I'm the numpty standing wearing the black hoodie with white decals, shades on the head, camera in the hand. AMAZING standing so close to the riders as they go past at 30mph+

Apparently I'm highly visible on the Eurosport coverage too according to my mates on Facebook. I got several texts from mates (including jaxz4 on the forum) saying I was famous...

Great photos A11y

Got to get myself up to Fort Bill and try that DH track out.... the bit through the woods must be sketchy as hell balls out mind :o

The red route up there look sick as well..... and the gondola means none of this peddling up hill b*llock :)

Must be getting old my bottle went on the first photo.
Not MTB but watched the finish of the Tour of Britain in Castle Douglas a few years ago the speed the pros hit is just unbelieve.
Looks like a cracking couple of days out.
