Forgive me father I have sinned...

So last night I took the MC to the gym as I need to lose the beer gut…..even went for a swim after so was nice and relaxed….the same goes for the driving (relaxed) as being quite cold these past few weeks, the MC does not go above 4K rpm 8)

So after the chilled visit to David Lloyd I went for a very careful drive around Epsom. The 3°+ warning bleep was also sounding….Pootling along I took a turning off a roundabout and the next thing I realize is that have a very noisy Civic Type R up my jacksy! I didn’t think they existed in our county....coz we are posh...you get me?

I believe he was already quite excited judging by the beer can distance he decided to keep between he’s front bumper and my rear bumper! So driving in high gear I thought I would oblige in some M noise in 3rd gear doing 30mph  I think the civic driver may have even been confused by this and that the driver of this beautiful machine would be up for racing on the suburban streets! My view on racing on the streets is that it is lame, irresponsible and idiotic….. This obviously provoked the gentleman (I mean chimpanzee) in the Civic type R and more weaving and rear bumper action continued for about ¼ of a mile. I saw an empty bit of road ahead and thought I will say goodbye to my newly found friend, so I dropped a cog (or two).

The next thing I didn’t know what was going to happen is that the gentleman in he’s civic was going to try and pull an overtake manoeuvre by using the full force of his VTEC cams… on a two way suburban road…..(which is fine if it is safe to do so) We were suddenly were side by side in a flash of course…

Not happy about this side by side action my revs went past 5K in 2nd gear and the orchestral sound that came after meant that the civic got left behind……..quite a bit! ahem…..
The feeling I got was a bit like Dominic torretto would have done in the first carnation of Fast and Furious.

Monicaaa! For those that remember Ja Rule’s quote…..

The road got busier mr Civic caught up and passed off another roundabout, as he passed a thumbs up and a double pedal revving noise followed…..I could have sworn that vtec engine was supercharged (Better for my ego if we say that) but an induction kit with aftermarket exhaust for sure.

Anyway….I felt guilty that I pulled such a stunt in the cold weather….normally I wouldn’t have even entertained the notion....so there is my confession…..(Fast3000 aka wannabe boy racer) :driving:

Your'e so right it's a stupid thing to do in any weather -especially with a hot hatch boy racer -it's so much cooler just to slow down indicate and let them pass because that ruins their day .

Well seeing that I occasionally do the same (apart from the tailgating, HATE THAT) to perhaps faster more expensive cars it would be hypocritical of me to judge.... Only when it's away from traffic and city limits of course, but I do enjoy a bit of play every now and then. I don't mind losing either, all part of the fun.

I'm happy to give it the beans (not that I get to see any nice metal for some reason), but I don't like doing it in iffy weather and always back off before I need to pull 4th gear, just give them a little taster before they speed by :driving:

I never do this.
Especially to a Renaultsport Clio on the A46.
:|

I must be doing it wrong... I had a old bmw three series doing it to me in the 2nd lane of the M25 with the two outer lanes clear also. So I just went even slower than normal  He eventually decided to speed round me

Like it, bit of fast and furious action! Silly, yes, but if you're a petrol head then this will happen every now and then. :driving:

........ I of course abhore this kind of thing, I would never ever do anything like this ......... well not now anyway, now I have enough points to choke a horse :D

Modified Leon Cupras never get embarrassed by me  :driving: :driving: They seem to be everywhere trying to sniff my fumes

I remember one evening I had a play with a Fast and Furious-ed Mitsubish Evolution on the motorway, he left me behind by a few bus lengths, I was laughing all the way. I later found out that he was rocking something in the region of 600hp!
