I spotted a second hand, but unused new, Flex XCE 10-8 forced drive machine for a decent price on EBay not too far from me so decided to go and have a look. Sure enough, box was a bit battered, but machine and all bits were un-used so decided to go for it.
I love it, different experience to a free spinning DA, but excellent correction abilities. The pad does not stall on curved panels, and you can really lean into the machine for bad defects such as bird etchings. I reckon anyone could become proficient with one with an hour or so’s practice.
Wish I’d gone down this route ages ago, used it on the Mrs car this weekend and it’s produced excellent results in a faster time than I ever managed with a free-spinning machine
She is delighted with the finish 8)
