...how the heck do you keep it clean?

When mine is clean, it comes up like new, but keeping it that way is really hard!

Have any of you put down black mats?
Im thinking of also replacing the Beige door strips to black ones as these mark really easy from black soles

Any other ideas?

Yes, it's a bit of an issue at this time of year, the mats in particular.

For he mats I keep them clean with a hand held vacuum cleaner between proper hoovering. When they get muddy, or a couple of times a year, I take them out and use a foam shampoo on them which has worked quite well.

Autoglym's Fastglass is not only excellent for windows but also for any plastic trim - maybe use a rougher cloth on grained surfaces.

Most leather cleaners work reasonably well on the seats though I've noticed mine has dulled to a slightly aged look. Connolly hide cream, available from any tack shop has long been used to feed and protect leather.

After four year though I did order some new mats from the stealer, which weren't too dear. Actually, didn't cost me anything as they first forgot to order them, then got me some black ones, and never got back to me re the beige ones. In the meantime I had a full valet done locally (£70) and they're as good as new so I didn't bother.

It may be worth having it valeted and then something like Diamondbrite applied (all-in £130 at indy valet co) or you could try something like Scotchgard like you use on shoes, suede, coats etc

Very similar to my old one - except I had a manual box.

I use driving shoes in the car, so my mats never get dirty.

Bitch :D

Shoes visible here after my satnav retrofit project on my previous Z.

Handbrake. It's not me wo wears the stilettos! :?

Has been as much as 32mpg on a motorway hurtle, but I suppose 26 on average. Somewhere around 300 to 320 per tank but fill up when down to 50. Mainly A rodas. Yours is 22.5 I take it?

Good guess. :) 230 miles out a tank is not good!

There seems to be so much variation in MPG across the board. I travel 8 miles to work in the morning whilst sat in heavy traffic (stop start, moving at 5mph) for much of it (70%) and drive with a light right foot. Over a tank of fuel I average 20mph'ish according to the computer so suppose that has a lot to do with it, albeit even when I stretch its legs it only ever gets up to mid 20s. :poke: Oh well.

I had the LeatherZ Alcantara center console arm rest in beige. That was a challenge but you do what you do to keep it clean. In the winter I bought BMW beige winter floor mats...that helped a lot.

I keep a box of these in the trunk for when my boss gets in the Z. Everytime she gets in she always manages to track something in on her high-priced shoes. If she wasn't so hot I wouldn't let her in at all!

:worthless:

This picture doesn't really do her justice. I'll see if I can get a better one tonight at the office Christmas party. She's the one at the bottom of the stairs.

She could get in my car without shoe covers. hell, she could get in naked if she wanted to!
