Amazon UK are doing a one day only special on Photoshop Elements. Just under half price (48% discount) at £33.

Likely to cover most functionality any keen amateur without deep pockets will need.

I thought you got that free with any camera you ever bought though?

Sometimes you get an old version. Mostly now you get some really basic editor.

I just thought with the interest in photography on here that people might be interested and this new version is getting good reviews

I was not knocking the software nor your posting about this one, was only thinking that I seemed to have so many copies here from the cameras I have bought :)

I use the Pro version, so not looked at the Elements version so no idea how good it is.

:headbang: Bought this for my Dad as his Christmas present about two weeks ago at full price off Amazon. doh.

Not taken as criticism :)

I have CS6 too, but it's more than most need and bloody expensive unless you have a student in the house.

I've only got CS2 at my disposal! But I also have the GIMP which is pretty good really. (quote of the year please).

Elements has everything you could want, but Lightroom is a much better option as a stand alone photo solution but obv is a bit more expensive

Agree tomscott. I use Elements and Lightroom (Lightroom not good for layers). Lightroom is better at handling RAW files also

Depends on your photographic needs I suppose. PS6 & lightroom work great together. But for the casual photographer lightroom is simple and you get great results

Nah, I am sure I have used all functionality of PS6.

Well, all 0.000000000000001 % that I have discovered at least :)
