James,

Something not encouraged or tolerated here - just joining a Forum to sell your Zed!

I was interested in finding out. Still hunting for one. :-(

Perhaps a PM to the guy may get you that information but I would suggest he's not monitoring the Forum now his 'free' advertising platform has been removed.

I'm still here. In fact I've been on this forum a lot over the past year just haven't posted! Didn't realise it would upset anyone posting a for sale ad here, thought you guys would be the people it would be most relevant to.

Sorry to offend.

James - good to see, as a Zed fan I hope, you're still monitoring the Forum. I'm sure there are many threads where your thoughts will be welcome so become 'proactive'. As stated before and perhaps unfortunately your first post was to advertise an item for sale which goes against the principles of the Forum. Unfortunately others have tried this for other totally unrelated items (phones etc). Good luck with your sale and hopefully retaining this thread may well encourage a PM to you where you can negotiate as necessary. And certainly no offence taken.

Sorry Alan, I'm going against the grain here but I think you're being harsh.

He has clearly signed up well over a year ago, and has been using the forum. Just because he hasn't posted, he isn't allowed to post an advert for his car? If you go through the member list, there will be a huge number of people who have never posted, because they know how to use the search function, so always find what they want. This is something that is encouraged, yet when he wants to actually post something, it's not allowed.

+1 with IK.

Maybe a slight overreaction to the poster and just bad luck his first message was a for sale one.

Hope you manage to sell it JamesC. Be interested to find out what she goes for.

It's certainly a tough market at present. Not sure what's happened. If you look on pistonheads there are loads of z4s, but hardly any show sold. I did have a buyer the other week, price agreed - talked about a paypal deposit etc to take it off sale (unseen!). I agreed, spoke to the guy on the phone etc, then an hour later I get an email saying his wife said the engine is too big/powerful, and that he's pulling out!!!

Really glad I didn't take it off sale until I had the deposit!

I am thinking of putting it on ebay as an auction (scary stuff!). Such a shame though because it's such a great spec and condition.

I'll post up what we get for it so you guys know what to expect if you sell

Yeah but its constantly raining and the country is in the worst state it has ever been. So toys etc are no ones priority imo. People are still buying, but no where near what it was. Seen how many bikes are up for sale at the moment? Scary what some are going for, as the fear of redundancy etc
