Hi,

I have a set of 4 of the original factory option five spoke star design split rim BBS alloy wheels (without tyres) for sale!

I bought them because I thought I preferred them to the ellipsoid type wheels which came fitted to my Z4 when I bought it. I quite quickly decided I really liked the ellipsoids so these were not needed. They have been professionally refurbed and since then have not been on a car at all and consequently are as new.

The refurbishment was a top quality job, the rims were split for dipping then powder coated before reassembling again hence the finish is superb and will be very durable.

I am asking £500 for these wheels which is cheap when you consider that this isn't much more than the refurb price.

Please contact me with any queries etc.

PS Photo uploading may have been unsuccessful (?) but I can email pictures to anyone interested.

The wheels are kept in my garage in Matlock, Derbyshire.

And whilst joining just to sell stuff is generally frowned upon in forum circles, I have presumed you haven't done just that?

Thanks so much for rectifying my error about adding a photo, much appreciated.

On the second point I must say straight away I understand now that I have accidentally breached forum etiquette in what I've done. Really sorry about doing that, and thanks again for giving me the benefit of the doubt and helping resolve my picture issues!

At least I do actually own a Z4, mine is a 2003 3.0i auto with just 36k on the clock in Maldives Blue. I found the car at a BMW dealer about 6 months ago, I wanted the warranty they give (same cover as a brand new car for a year). My two previous BMWs were worryingly troublesome! So all is good, apart from that bumpy ride on the RFTs.

Anyway, I'd like to explain why I never post (until now of course), as I expect many others might feel the same. I usually join forums once I have decided to start hunting for a particular make/model, they are brilliant for finding out loads of really useful information, much of which you can't find anywhere else. I haven't ever posted on a forum though because I have always found anything I wanted to know by searching previous threads and even I realise that it's no good if people just keep putting up the same old questions because they haven't bothered looking to see if the query has already been covered in the past. The reason for not replying to other posts is that I never feel I can help much, as I am not particularly technical or hugely knowledgeable about any particular car or marque. To be honest there's possibly a bit of a confidence thing in there too, I kind of feel I should be an expert on a subject if I am going to reply...

I have already had some interest in my spare wheels so thanks again for your help.

simesire, theres nothing wrong with watching from afar.........

good luck with the sale

Simesire - what a great reply  . On so many forums I have frequented in the past that would have turned into a tirade and a bun fight! I think I am going to like it here :D

Those wheels are superb! Good luck with the sale. Wish I had the cash as I love 108's!
