Footwell storage Net - 51479128456

Hi guys,

Has anyone retrofitted the passenger footwell storage net, item 4 in the photo.



This is not the wire framed one that you fit with the four plastic screws into the carpet, apparently I need 7 clips ( Item 5) to fit this, how hard was it to do ?

Do I need to remove the carpet to fit it ?

Any advice welcome.

I've got a brand new one in a bag somewhere. Never fitted to my old car. New old has one. I think that white clips screw through the carpet (self tappers maybe).

This net is the factory fitted one with the plastic frame similar to this one



Not the one that has wire frame that is screwed into the carpet with the big plastic screws like this one.

Its the top one i have. I guess you have to cut small slots in the carpet for the clip to go through/grip.

why not do a test on an old piece of carpet?

I haven't bought it yet, was wondering what was involved and how hard it was to fit before I parted with the cash

If your buying from a dealer and ask nicely they will supply you with a copy of the fitting instructions and it may have a template too. I can't see it being a big job, but you'll need some knee pads or something to kneel on whilst fitting.
