Footmats

Yep it's adull post...

But after two weeks of ownership I just realized my feet are on carpet at the drivers side.

Can anyone recommend aywhere to get cheapish footmats for the Zed ? I've never been a fan of speding lots on fancy ones since I don't look down there too much.

There are three types of e85/e86 mat if it's original mats that your looking for.

Rubber mats are around £30 a pair. P/n: 51 47 0 429 220
City mats are around £55 (not sure what these are but they sound better than the velour mats?).
Velour mats are around £85.

Part numbers for the last two vary depending on what colour you want.

Cotswold BMW have a picture of the rubber mats on eBay where they sell them for £35 inc p&p.

Cheers Molar...so are you saying that I shopuld just go to my local BMW dealer and buy from there ? will they have the cheapy rubber ones do you think ?

They should be able to order them at no extra cost if they are not in stock. In my limited experience so far, anything not in stock arrives really quickly even if its coming from Germany.

I have the rubber mats - easy to clean and much more durable. The drivers side mat comes with a carpet insert in the foor/heel area. I removed this and then replaced it with a section from a cheap mat I bought from Halfords (they do sell some useful stuff sometimes!). Have now been in the car 3 years and look as good as new after washing. I have the original BMW carpet mats which were in the car when I got it new from the dealers. If I ever sell then I can use these for prospective viewer purchasing.
