Focal 165AS3 - speaker adapters?

I've just treated myself to the Focal 165 AS3 3-way component kit (good price at Car Audio Direct this weekend) and I know that you need adapters to fit the speakers, but I'm struggling to find out whether this is just for the 80mm mid-range or for the 165mm woofers as well. I've searched through the forum and found answers confirming both. Is anyone who has done this upgrade able to confirm?

I'm also struggling to find an 80mm adapter. I know that people have previously 3D printed these or made them from MDF - anyone know of a supplier that will sell these pre-made?

That's a sharp price; very tempted myself.

I think the woofers can be done either way; print an adapter or modify what is already there.

80mm sounds odd.. Thought the door speakers were 100mm? Either way you can take a dremel to the oe junk speakers and make an adaptor from them

I’d recommend making your own adaptors out of ply or mdf. It’s not too hard and whilst there I would sound deaden / seal the doors if you can as it will help drastically with the sound.

Thanks all. Yes, the hole for the existing speaker is 100mm, but the Focal mid is 80mm - hence the need for an adapter I guess. I'll get it all apart and see what I'm dealing with once the speakers arrive.
