Floor Mats

Hi Everyone

Newbie (i always warn people!)

I am looking for some fitted mats for the Z... preferably with BMW branding if possible does anyone have any recommendations?

Also, now this may seem an odd question, but I have velcro fixed "mats" in the Z which came with, they look more like an undermat than an actual car mat i don't know if anyone uses just these but my driving position means i get a lot of heel wear and i want to keep the footwell nice, hence the mat requirement.

Are these mats the actual OEM mats or are they as i suspect just a permanant fixture as part of the interior, having them in does mean that there is no fixing for any other mats as they obviously cover the velcro, new mats over them may slide around but i can live with that for the sake of the carpet underneath.

can anyone share their "mat solutions" god i feel sad.

I use BMW OEM rubber mats (complete with BMW logo). Easy to clean, practical and functional. Only drawback is the drivers side comes with a carpet style heel pad. I removed this pad and replaced it with a rubber section from a cheap rubber mat (cut to shape) from Halfords. Stuck in place with contact adhesive. Mats have now lasted 4 years and after a good wash look as good as new (well nearly). They are an exact fit and come with the velcro pads to secure them in place. I have retained the original carpet style mats (the ones you mention) that came with the Zed - I can put these in place when (and if ever!) I sell. The link below takes you to the part on Real OEM:

You could keep some of those disposable shoe covers in the glove box for your passengers to wear :poke:

I checked yesterday at my BMW Canadian Dealership ........ $215- plus 13% tax for black carpet mats (need to be ordered in). No logo or anything LOL. I bet they come in from China or India to BMW Germany then shipped to Canada properly having a 80% mark up by the time I would pick them up from the BMW dealer ...... Told the Parts Manager, have to think about that one.

I still have my M3 carpet floor mats ... will try them out.

Question, any of you can tell me what stores in the US carry Z4 2009 floor mats in stock with at least Z4 engraved on it? I plan a major US road trip next month, perhaps I can pick some up?

Try here http://www.autostyle.co.uk/index.asp used these for my Calibra they were very good but do not seem to have the range they did i had some top of the range mats for shows they were superb with leather binding they also made me a great boot mat.

Thinking of getting a set for the Z then just pop on two strips of velcro to hold in place
