Fixing plastic clips broken from storage pockets behind seat

Some heavy handed mechanic or previous owner had ripped most of the clips from the storage bin behind the driver's seat of my zed.
Looking at the price of a new one I thought I would share a solution on the off chance anyone else is in the same position.
Picture below shows the offending clips.


Next is the failed attempt of glueing them back into place.


Now the new bits printed from ABS (don't worry if you have no access to a 3d printer, ask a buddy or I will post some to you for next to nothing).


Cut the old remains flush and scuff the surface.


Stick em into place and cross your fingers!


The repair worked really well and the panel now sits as it should and doesn't fall out over speed bumps! Hope this might help a fellow zed owner out one day. We don't all have deep enough pockets to buy these bits from BMW!

Excellent job, you and your mate could sell these on ebay, I'm sure there must be some other parts that could be made in this way for quick repair option.

Thank you, Colb. I'm not really in it for the profit but I would happily sell them at material cost to zed owners in need.
The only mate that helped during this operation was my 3D printer. Maybe I need to find a more savvy partner in crime

The thing is that back there for me there's the speaker cover, instead of the storage you got there. I'm thinking maybe it's different clips?

You might be right there. I haven't had a look at one with the speakers behind the seats.
I don't think the whole big plastic trim that the covers clip into is different though, so my logic would think the clips must be a similar design.
If you happen to have the panel out in the near future have a ganders and let me know what they look like. Might be worth a try if it bothers you. Mine rattled and fell out regularly!
