Fix It Day??

ive been members of car forums in the past where members have taken part in "Fix it Days" where everyone meets up and helps each other with little niggles on their car, say for example there are people from this forum that have cleared the drains on their roof many times but there may be people who are too unsure on how to do this then everyone helps.

for example i am able to have a go at programming using my laptop so could help people with that!

generally you make a day of it and come along to fix a few things and have some banter.

was wondering if anyone fancied doing something like this any time soon? now me personally i live in Bedford so i am willing to try arrange something for around this area?

List Of People Interested - Please State Your Name, Location, Issues you need help with and what you can help others with.


Name - Rob
Location - Bedford
Help With - Wipers, Roof Drains, Boot Leak
Can Do - Have Laptop for programing & Code Reading

Although as far as I can tell there's no forum members within about 100 miles of me!
 
Great idea. I need to change a window regulator at some point soon so would be good to have someone around who has done it before. :thumbsup:

this is my thinking really, these cars have lots of little issues that im sure we have all had a some point and never seem to find the time to fix them, its clear that there is also a lot of expertise on here when it comes to fixing things and makes sense to all meet up and get it all done in one day. for example i need to fix the leak in my boot and sort out my wipers and roof drains.
 
Perhaps a list of those who want to attend along with their issues to be fixed and their knowledge experience in fixing. This way you can cross reference the list to ensure every problem has a fixer.
 
I have no skills and can bring nothing to this topic but i do enjoy watching others work :oops:

Although if anyone has an issue with TomTom's then I can help there.
 
I can take door cards off, and know which bits to be careful of breaking :oops:

Got spare trim clips too...

Also took the induction system apart to check my DISA

Have recently removed my front bumper too, but loads of people have done that.

...not sure what else. Will have a think.

there you go there will be people out there like me who wouldnt have a clue how to do that!
 
Sound idea.... i with Bing need a hand to change roof motor...

to offer can change pads and disks,, rear spring,s rear bumper, interior overhead light.... errrrr thats all i can think of at the mo...

O OO ooo would like to fit cruise but need the bits,,,, its not fitting the bits its the electrical bit
 
What a great idea, I really have nothing to offer from a technical point of view but can roll probably the 'roundest' cigs in the uk :D some sort of skill there :D
