Fitting MFSW Controls

Well thanks to GreyZes I have been able to locate a MFSW, but now what's the best way to install.

1. Remove the old wheel completely and just install the 'new'?
2. Leave the old wheel in place, remove the spoke covers, remove the spoke covers and MFSW controls from the new wheel and fit to the old wheel?

Advice please BTW I do know the disconnect battery and leave for half an hour before removing the air bag.

Advice please

If the new wheel is OK,the easiest way is just to swop the wheel. If you try swooping the trims it is very easy to break the locating lugs when removing the screws.
Undoing the air bag wires connectors is a bit off a fiddle the first time,if I remember correctly you pull out a tab which rèleases the connector.

The new wheel is in great nick so it's a straight swap Norman. Only issue is whether your slip ring is pre-wired for the MF buttons or you need a retrofit cable. Don't worry though all covered in great detail in the how to section on here. :)

Iirc pre september 2003 cars need a retrofit cable hooking up to the light control module and post sep 03 cars were pre wired as standard.
