fitting Eibach springs to rear only

Hi There,

I have a full set of Eibach's to go on the car. I was going to attempt the rears myself and then take the car to a garage in a week or so to get the fronts done.

Will I be ok to drive with the Eibachs on the rear and stock springs on the front?

Cheers

Not sure, but plenty on here have drove on broken springs for a while (unintentionally).

Thanks guys!!

I've been driving around for a while on a cracked rear springs so it will probably be an improvement :D

Cheers

Are the fronts difficult to do yourself then? As said you'll be fine just take it easy, and definitely get the geo done, waste of money otherwise!

No problem with running different springs.Fronts are tricky & you need spring compressors.I'am going fit some tomorrow,if i get a chance i will do a feed with photos.Getting one of my mates ramps in this business,so if i have time will take some photos & post up. :driving:

If you could do some pictures of the front springs that'd be great, I'm pretty competent with the spanners so I'd love to see how hard it is to do.

I fitted the rears myself and a local garage did the fronts for £100.This is a how to
i found when doing mine.http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=27124&p=374517&hilit=spring+fitting#p374501

Well fitted my Eibachs yesterday & had taken some photos along the way but having read the attached feed think i would be wastinging my time trying to better as it is spot on.Only thing i would add is that when trying to get the front spring & shock back together make sure the rubber & the spring tail are sitting in the correct way. With all springs fitted front looks great, but rear has not moved sitting the same as original springs, measured before & after & it's the same. Don't want it slammed, just down the 20mm that's claimed would be great. Has anyone had the same problem with little or no drop after fitting ? Also have driven car for about 40miles now on country roads so they should have settled by now. On the good side the car has been transformed nice & tight great improvement apart from the drop.
