Fitting an M front bumper....

Yep that silver bits are providing the thread for the bolts.

Now i think the splash guard is meant to go behind the bumper.... and looking at the bumper it has a few scuffs where the clips have gone in :x So i guess i'll have to touch them up and then refit...

Never going to use that place ever again... the paint job they did was average, and i needed to point them to bit which needed correcting.. so no pride in their work... and not even the cheapest at £250 to paint and fit.
 
Just checked mine - the splash guard is in the right place, that's just a lazy messy job. No idea how they though that was acceptable. The clips are dirt cheap though, so you'll have it sorted in no time :thumbsup:

eBay clips ordered on Sat... and thankfully no rain expected this weekend when i can correct this mess. I was meant to be getting my M rear painted by them.. No chance now.. will have to hunt for a new bodyshop. :?

Really - thanks for the heads up - Peddy.. I had no idea - i have seen quite a few cars around here with them :o

Ok well I have been driving with the plate on the dash for a couple of weeks... passed probably half a dozen police cars... so it may stay like this a bit longer!

Most plates available online are illegal, you have take your documents to the plate maker. The plates then have to carry a BS number and a couple of things IIRC.
That said my ebay specials just went through the MOT without issue.

Aquazzi SW Scotland is probably to far to go just to get the Bumper painted but my guy charged me £500 to do all the conversion work on the rear bumper plus spray & fit the Aero Skirts and some other bits & pieces, IIRC he charged £180 to spray the front bumper which included filling in the washer jet holes.
 
I did the same with the RX8 for a year, just had it sat upright, horizontal in the windscreen. Never had any issues.

I also plan on removing the front plate when my bumper is sprayed. :evil: Worst case I would fit a low L bracket and have it at the bottom rather than on the bumper skin.
