Hi people
I need some help, I'm installing an Alpine IDA 305s,I have it working all cables connected. I can't get the facia plate to fit properly and it's the wrong colour.
Does anyone know if there is a black facia adapter available?
I am trying to fit the connects2 adapter, do you split the two parts fit the back plate then the head unit then the front panel or keep the adapter as one piece fit it then install the head unit?
I'm assuming you used the cage that comes with the head unit

Any information is welcome, it's all a very tight fit and I have damaged the facia so have to buy another so let me know if there is a black one out there and how you installed it

On a plus point I'm very happy with the sound and function.

You need to split and fit the back part, mine broke but still works ok, then fit the head unit and then the front plate. Well at least thats how mine went on, did take me about an hour of head scratching to work out how to get it to all fit.

hope thats helps

I fitted the adapter into the dash then slotted the radio in,I had autoleads adaptor but it looks shite, there is a better looking one on pictures here but in all truth because of the shape of the dash and stereo any aftermarket unit is always going to look crap.

I installed a single din pioneer head unit recently after buying my Z4. Snug fit isnt even close!!!

Bought gunmetal fascia off eBay

Can't believe how much of a pain it was to get the headunit, back plate, air vents and fascia all in togethe!! Seemed like each piece should go in first :S Glad it's in though!
