fitting a cd changer to a z4 sport coupe - wiring?

Hi all

IDoes anyone know if the z4 pre-wired for the factory CD changer?
I am thinking of buying a used one and fitting it, but wanted to know if it is a single plug and play procedure.

Also - am buying the Intravee II for my ipod and as far as I know, you can use the CD changer as well as the ipod with this set up, is this correct?

All Z4's are prewired for CD Changer. Yes - it is plug and play.

I have the Intravee II unit, but that plugs in the CD Changer cables and as far as I know, you can NOT retain the CD changer as well (not sure why you would want a cd changer when you have an ipod though ...)
 
Hey PVR

I have checked and found that if you want a changer and ipod you need the more expensive Alpine KCA410c + Intravee but this seems to be a bit silly really. You are quite right that there is no need for the ipod plus CD changer. Just me being typically completist! lol

Have a look at my installation thread. Quite easy and accessable for updates via a laptop which I like.
 
I use my head unit for playing cd's. There is something about the quality of a cd that leaves MP3's at the kerb.
