Fishtailed in the rain today (didn't crash! :])

Agh I almost stained my seats today!

So I admit I was a little careless today so I'm leaving the house while it's raining so to leave I come to a T only 2 lanes left and right the green light goes fast so the second the 2 lane roads light turns red some one goes through the red light. Ehh what ever so I start to go and while the lights been red for a good 2 seconds someone almost hits me I stop I'm angry so I went around the turn kinda fast and my back just wobbles all over the road and almost hit someone at the red light phew! That was scarey haha!

Thankfully I didn't go into the ditch on both sides of the road. And for some strange reason half a mile after that of driving it felt like the back wheels had just barely holding onto the ground I don't know if it was just me but that's how it felt I don't know why? Has anyone else done this in the rain and felt the same way afterwords?
 
I did it in on black ice few months ago.. Was going round corner coming off an island onto a dualie and the arse end just flicked out.. Had a lovely drift on and then it just snapped back.. Spoilt my fun and almost spoilt my boxers :-)

Not done it in my Z4, but had a serious fishtail in my old Z3 2.8. I totally get what you mean about the car feeling light afterwards too, and even though this was some 10 or so years ago, I can still remember that "new pants please" feeling!

The feeling after was worste then actually fish tailing for some reason. I guess it's because the roads here are 2 lane roads in woods and a ditch on both sides so back feeling loose, rainy weather, and curvy roads aren't the greatest feeling unless of course you love to drift and know how ha! Every curve I went around felt like I was gonna go into a drift and slide into the ditch tail first :headbang:

Ya I was kind of amazed as to how fast it snapped back into control I thought it was gonna slide left and right like crazy :rofl:
 
There's a great U-turn point by the Sainsbury's in Richmond - gotta love doing a full power 180 onto an empty dual carriageway, lining it up to catch grip at the right point and powering off back up the hill.

Not that i know anything about that.
