I will post here new pictures, new upgrades, ideas, and of course questions how to do:) I will have a lot of questions because, generally I am office plankton :) I many things with my new love (BMW Z4, 2.5i, 2003) gonna be for the first time :)))

So first thing first. Let me introduce you me new "old" z4.
Its as I sad 2.5i, 2003, 5M model that has 107000km thats aprx. 63k miles I quess and I have bought it in October 2010. Now its sleeping in garage and waiting for spring. :)

This weekend I am preparing to do several look upgrades:
1- changing antena = much shorter than standart
2- instaling of "remote roof module" I have no idea yet how i will do it = if you have any experience please I am happy to hear
3- instaling new chrome exhaust trims
4- instaling new rims Picture008.jpg
but first need to buy tyres = I preffer Falken ze912 or fk452 = any advice on this???
5- the most dificoult instalation will be instaling = BMW locking wheel valve dust caps :))) Every BMW fan need to have them... :)

*I will insert how everything goes :)

I have several questions guys:
1 - I would like to instal during winter time, new airbox system, I really like the one from K&N but they dont have it for 2.5i. Any ideas??? in price range up to 250 EUR??
2 - pedals - I would like to have steel pedals, but many times I have heard that, when its wet they are too slipery.. Most on ebay are just replica = no problem with that for me, but are they good. Any experience on this??

Hope guys you will like this topic. If not, just please ignore me. Thank you all for your tips,,,, hope I will be good member, for your comunity.

Hi and welcome. Zed looks good, but will look better with bigger wheels.

I have Falken 452s on mine, really good tyre, loads of grip in wet and dry.

Can't help with your other questions but I'm sure someone else can. The Schnitzer Pedals look good, someone on here had them. do a search.

hi and welcome.

I have BMW alloy pedals on mine.... i dont find them too slippery when wet and they looks very bling (i just wish i could get a matching footrest)!

Hi Martin and welcome to the forum, good looking zed you got there it will look even better with them very shiney exhaust trims
(Martin(quickpig) bought my exhaust trims i had for sale)

Many thanks Chris

Hello,welcome to the forum.
as for the pedals i have m-sport ones, that are from m-style in the uk,and they are ok in the wet weather. hope this helps

hi and welcome buddy. good luck with them mods.
Air box, try BMC or AFE with the heat shield over the cone. K&N is what i have and its pretty good, good woosh noise etc.
Pedals : ive got Alpina ones, they have slight rubber inserts to stop your foot slipping.... get the foot rest as well.

Welcome..... :)

Although what is it with those red reflectors on the bumper? I've noticed the ol yanks have that too..... :)

2-Redzedfour - :) thank you for your exhaust trims!! As I sad many time, they are like new!!!
2 - All, thank you for comments about pedals, seems like I will try to find some on ebay., thank you for kind welcome. Cross fingers for this weekend upgrades.
2 - markdesigns, I was thinking about Afe. But wans sure if they are as well good as K&N.
2 - Sully - yep ya right, all the yanks do have it. And this is a car from US, so this is the reason why. I like the cars with or without.

Finally I was able to shoot some pictures. It was nice weekend here in SVK, so I took my Z4for first ride in this year!!! It was lovelly, Again I had a big smile on my face!!! I was enjoying every moment!!!
During winter, I had changed oil, and all possible filters. I was lucky to fix problem with loosing the coolant and with oil leaking - in both cases the issue was old seal.
I need to fix problem with front suspension.
Big step forward is that I have changed the brake pads. The last owner was cheap bastard and he put there very very bad ones. So now I do have EBC green stuff, and I am very pleased so far!!
I have made "look" upgrade. New wheels 18" with RF Bridgestone Potenza 225/40 front and 255/35 rear.
New small antena, bmw chrome door pins, bmw valve caps :), chrome exhaust trim.
I was still not able to get working correctly the remote roof module - not one touch!!
I am waiting for new black roof. Becuse I dont like this collour that much, and secondary, because some idiot was very kind to use a knife to make a hole to my roof.
Some pictures.

Good work there the wheels have transformed the look of the car and the exhaust trims are looking good

Hi and welcome !

452's not 912's no question on that choice in my opinion different tyres, 912s I used were fine enough but not as good on sporty cars IMO.
