This morning a "Service" message appeared:

But it only mentions a brake fluid change at the moment, and not the engine oil:

Do they also replace the engine oil at the first service? ... (for me, its not on mileage but rather the 2 year time interval). :?

I think longlife engine oil can last much longer in the engine. Ask service advisor.

The engine oil level in my car is still at the top level. It has not used any oil even during running in. My car has done nearly 8k miles.

Mine says the same, both on the big screen and on the display behind the steering wheel. On my E92 coupe however, it basically went from max to min overnight! I'll check if they change engine oil when its booked in next month.

Took mine in last week to have a squeak sorted, I've had my first service at 26,000 miles, now done 28,300 and apparently it is due for a check over in another 9000 miles, no parts or lubricants to be replaced just a once over.

My next service (major) after that will be at 50,000 or there about's, its amazing what the can tell from your key fob

Had my first service last month around 19,500 miles. They changed the oil, brake fluid and pollen filter. They also did a software update.

The cynic in me thinks that since they know most people will pay for the 5 years servicing package they have now found a way to make sure you don't come and see them as often!! Otherwise a service once a year at £300 a pop would mean £1500 over 5 years.....
