First ever BMW 2.2si SE Roadster Black

Well,

I got married to my childhood sweetheart just over a year ago and her life's ambition was to own a BMW, so seeing as we're both heading for 40 we decided to have our mid life crisis together and buy a Black 05 Z4 from an approved dealer list.

Dont pick it up for a week (Private reg transfer) but really excited about the prospect of buzzing around in this beautiful motor.

Look forward to posting and joining in the community fun on this forum

couple o questions.

1. hardtop for roadsters (good /bad / expensive?)
2. Ipod dock (worth the money/Not)

I have had mine for 3 winters now and the insulation in the roof is so good, you'd never even know you were in a convertible. If you want one for the looks though, that is a different matter. The other thing is that there are some winter days that are beautifully clear and great for driving with the roof down. A real pain if you have to keep taking the roof on and off.

I've never understood the point of getting a convertible and then putting a hard top on it, but if you like the look of them then go for it. I'd scour ebay first though.

Mine didn't come with an ipod connector, I went for the 6 CD changer as when I bought it I didn't have an iPod. I would defivnately go for it now though.

Not sure which Ipod dock you are looking for, but there are several options,,,, Aux line in, Intravee, and Dice. There is a DIY thread concerning the Aux Input and covers the other options also. :)

Nice one, welcome to the forum... I would say no to the hard top, v.expensive and I'd be forever taking it on and off.. if it's not raining the top should be down... if it's cold, that's what the heater is for!

Ipod interface is great... I LOVE it! Prob the best mod I have done! I went for the Dension Icelink
