Well Taxed the Zed today after refitting the front bumper which has been resprayed. Been holding off fitting in the hope to apply some 3M Paint Defender which I did in the end yesterday. Unfortunately it looks shite. I think the main cause of this was it wasn't warm enough to apply and it needs to be applied quite thick. So it will have to be peeled off.

The other mod I did at the same time has been successful so I will post some pictures of that soon.

So I managed to wash the French dust off  this afternoon and then it was out for blast with the youngest (only by 20 minutes  ) making the most of the afternoon sun. Quick loop consisting of a blast through the Lewes tunnel :D and car is still fairly clean.

Need to get the wheels off and waxed and protect the roof, but now the weather is getting better I can tackle these jobs. with a bit of luck over Easter. Only other major jobs planned for this year are to swap over the modified back boxes I have and 4 new tyres

I'm doing a bit of a spring clean this week as I have the week off.

1 afternoon for the wheels.

1 afternoon for the roof and interior.

1 day for wash, clay and wash and wax and wax and wax.

Did you notice any difference after fitting the scoop Steve?

TBH I forgot all about it

But don't forget I have the GruppeM so not sure of the effect this will have.

I have missed my car though I know what much.

I'm in the same boat now I have the Mini for commuting, looking forward to some get togethers and some good weather :driving:

Happy days mr h , can't believe its been garaged up since the return from France last Halloween :?
How did you find refitting the bumper ? Easy or hard to get the gaps right ?

Well Done Steve - We'll await the pictures.
I would have thought you would have nipped over the Dartford Crossing whilst you were out :poke:

We were out and about, certainly gave us a taste for the spring and warmer longer days.
Looking forward to the pics,

That's very interesting. As my car is a daily driver, I naturally wanted to avoid any rash on the front bumper and looked at products like the Paint Defender, but I concluded that it was more effective to keep having the bumper resprayed as and when needed.

my needs an MOT , and i expect ill be on the road within 2 weeks..... cant wait had it out yesterday doing the pre MOT checks.
