Finally some pics of my car

Having owned my car since April here are some pics! The car is coming up to 97k and is going well. I worked hard through the summer to detail it and do the usual wear and tear stuff like front bushes, rear springs, discs and pads, new aux belts etc. Ive also taken the CDV off which made a big difference. On reflection, if I'd have known then what I know now I probably wouldn't have bought this car although I have (kind of!) enjoyed doing most of the work myself. I am now confident that it is up to scratch so that I can enjoy it for a few more less costly years :D

Looks really good - Should be proud of her and the detailing you've done, especially coming up to the 100k

Lovely. Looks like it's just been driven out of the showroom! Keep enjoying Jonny5

Thanks for the comments! I've certainly got the z4 bug, next stop z4M :D I dream of one day being able to buy a Z with a warranty although it is a good feeling to get an older/average condition car to a high standard. Could do with a new set of wheels but will more than likely fit a new clutch

I'm wondering if your reflection is true of the Z's and hence why they move on so frequently?

I've said it before and I'll say it again, am a fan of those wheels. Most underrated 17's.
Absolutely +1. I love that wheel design and haven't been shy about saying it before. Kind of wish I'd spent the extra over my mega-cheap 16" winter wheels for a set of these instead.

jonny5, looks great - wish mine looked that clean!

+1 have these back on as my winter set (a11y :P ) and actually really like them, guess I was getting bored when they came off. Pain to clean though.

Agreed, mine is the same colour on a 54, and needs a damned good clean to get it looking as good as that.

Hope you enjoy as much as we all do.

:D I've been a victim of peer group pressure as the 107 108s appear to be the wheels to have. I agree that these wheels do look good but would still prefer some 108s.

I love the Z4 so but due to my very limited budget at the time this actual car fitted the bill but consequently needed a bit more doing to it due to age/ mileage than I had bargained for. Saying that I could have spent alot more on a Z4 and still had to do Springs/ bushes etc. Having owned a number of 'sports cars' they all need a bit of extra looking after (unless they are new) and for some they are not that easy to live with after a while. If you'd have seen me putting the thermostat in over Christmas you would have understood why I wanted to put it on ebay for 5k and buy a Fiesta. :P

Ah, but when someone does you a stupidly good deal on a set of 16's it's hard to say no! :D. In all honesty I'm actually enjoying the ride and have grown to the looks of my little 16"s. The state of the roads would wreck my 18's in no time at the moment.

Believe me, your 17's are the perfect wheel at the moment on the Z4. 107/108s DO look better but 17's might be better suited unless the roads improve!
