Finally - It's Arrived

So it's finally here and I took the liberty of giving it a good clean over the weekend - now just need the current restrictions to lift so I can give it a run out.

Loving the Monaco Blue but as suspected with all the pollen it only seems to stay clean for 5 minutes.

Apparently there are only 396 Monaco Blue roadsters so I'd be keen to see any others that are on the forum

Congratulations.
Thats a lovely colour to polish - and it also looks like you need an aerial too
Whats the plan for both of them?

According to the paperwork it's previously had a Diamonbrite treatment and my detailing skills don't stretch beyond the standard snow foam wash with a Sonax finish - but it did come up lovely.

Unortunately the stubby fell victim to my desire to switch it out for a whippy - I now ha e the ultimate stubby but the radio still plays fine so I guess I'm stuck with it

Looks good,
Though I have to ask... what's with removing the front bumper and lights?

I have a question , as i see you you taken the seats out ......i propose to do the same on a hot summer's day to deep clean the carpets . Is it just a question of disconnect the battery and unplug/unbolt the seats . Will it not cause any alarms ?

Main reason was to repair the mesh grill that had been pushed out but also wanted to clean out the foglights - to be honest it was a lot easier than I thought and will likely remove it again next time the headlight bulbs need changing rather than accessing via the wheel arch

I didn't disconnect the battery - it was just a case of unbolting four screws and disconnecting the electrics underneath. No issue with the alarm and like the bumper it was a relatively easy process.

Good to hear it has arrived OP, and that really is a deep clean.

So I'm just wondering if this is yours as it doesn't match up with your signature, or do you have two?

Did you have an airbag light come on not disconnecting the battery when reconnecting the plugs? When I took mine out had that issue for the pass occupancy sensor and needed that reset.

No I didn't get that issue

Hello, Fellow Monaco Blue owner here! Don’t see too many of them around, didn’t realise the number was that low!

Very nice

Strange, your the first one I have heard of that has not had the airbag light on after taking the seats out and not disconnecting the battery.

Please ignore my previous response I had a better look today and I do have the issue with the warning light staying on - will have to get it removed when I take it in for the insp 2 next month :headbang:

Just have to watch those runners don't scratch the cills when you put the seats back in. That would make you really pissed and have to spend ages with paint and sandpaper to get a reasonably good repair that wasnt perfect. :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:
